My paintings have made this very clear for me: Be it the strict, perfect line describing an existing architectural structure; or free-flowing pigments dissolved in water, helping to express what is going on in my inside. My work is a constant, painful negotiation between control and passion.

An exception to this is my recent involvement in documentary work. Here, I am learning that my rather classic, self-centered artistic conflict can, at times, get in my way when trying to respectfully and committedly capture the honesty of human beings and the world they move in.
